Warder Mansion Totten Cottage

Commonwealth Architects provided architectural services for the rehabilitation of the existing Warder Mansion and Totten Cottage and the construction of Totten Tower, a new nine-story brick and precast apartment tower with a two-level parking deck.

The Warder Mansion and Totten Cottage were in ruinous condition. The Warder Mansion, originally designed by renowned Architect Henry Hobson Richardson, is both architecturally and historically significant. The Client intends to file for Investment Tax Credits for the rehabilitation portion of this project therefore the rehabilitation will be completed according to the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.

When completed, Warder Mansion and Totten Cottage will house a total of 35 luxury apartments. There will be 72 market-rate apartments in Totten Tower.
